Applying Credit to a CSUN Degree
Courses taken and completed in Open University and the Advancing Student Achievement Program can potentially apply towards a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, credential, or graduate certificate program (see Special Note below). However, there are limits to the number of academic credit units students can transfer.
Applying Credit to a Bachelor's Degree:
Nonmatriculated students are eligible to apply up to 24 units of academic credit towards a bachelor's degree at CSUN.
Applying Credit to a Master's Degree, Credential Or Graduate Credit Certificate Program:
Nonmatriculated students are eligible to apply up to 9 units of academic credit towards a master's degree, credential, or graduate credit certificate program.
Special Note: In all cases, the department chair responsible for the program will determine which, if any, courses taken as a non-matriculated student can and should apply to a particular degree/credential/certificate program.
